What is Abandoned?
Abandoned is a sci-fi universe told across magazines, a future film series, a collectible card game and a video game, all connected by one story about seven systems cut off from Earth.
It was first developed in 2019 by human visionaries and writers as a film script. The world, its seven systems and the people fighting over them were all imagined and written by people.
AI is one of the tools we use along the way, helping with concept images and organizing the work. The vision and the storytelling stay human.
Four Ways Into Abandoned

Cut Off From Earth
More than forty years ago, Earth withdrew its support and disconnected the home gate. The seven colonized systems, linked by transport gates, were left to fend for themselves.
Now the knowledge needed to maintain the gates, ships, power grids and cities is slowly being lost, and the infrastructure is failing with it.
On Mearus, the tech company Novius SC is a front for a secret group hunting a rumored hidden gate back to Earth. Bounty hunters, paranoid governments, pirates, infiltrators and the Alpha system, which wants its control back, all stand in the way.
Seven Systems
Alpha
The first colony. Once the seat of power, and now it wants that power back.
Hocxia
Metals and mining, supplying most of the colonies’ building material. The first to secede.
Lyca
A gas giant system that fuels the colonies.
Tudran
An ocean planet with lifeless waters, exporting water to the others.
Prima Sijjin
A would-be utopia of strict laws, with a thriving criminal underground.
Lukarna
A rocky world with a single city, living on greenhouse crops.
Mearus
An unbreathable world of underground research bases, and home to Novius SC.
